My name is Gloria , I live in Tucson, Az What do I like about being a caregiver? It gives me great comfort and satisfaction in helping someone else in need of care . I have been doing this for several years either by running errands, fixing or feeding someone their meals. I help by doing light house work, laundry, or whatever someone might need while I am with them. I have worked at St Luke Home for the elderly. I, also, have three sons, who over the last 20 years needed me to assist in getting them to and from doctor and hospital appointments. All three were in need of a kidney and were in one stage of dialysis or in the hospital recovering. All have recovered and are doing well. My last son received his a year and a half ago. Now I am reaching out to help someone in need of assistance, who would need my help to get around Tucson or someone who needs a caregiver to help in the home. A short preview of me... I started volunteering at our local nursing facility when I was 12 years old. At the tender age of 15, I had my very first Home Care job. I have also worked in a facility but have found that I really enjoy the one on one care I can give an individual. I've been doing Home Care for 27 years now. It's my passion. I currently am State Certified Home Health Care Aide . I have also had CNA training in the past. I love the care that I can provide for those in need. It's the most rewarding career I believe.
