I moved on to becoming an Administrative Assistant for more than 18 years. I was laid off from my job due to the last recession and I jumped back on my skills to continue giving care to the elderly. I was a valuable support for my clients, helping then with all the activities of their daily living, I cooked and served meals, I assisted with medications, I shopped for food and personal items, I provided transport/ accompanied clients to doctor's appointments. I was with one of my clients last year and realized that she needed to go to the hospital. I called the emergency service and stayed with her at the hospital till the family made alternative arrangement. When she was later discharged, I stayed and cared for her till she passed. I have now become a trusted friend of the family.

I have compassion for people and i have firsthand experience. I have my son who is 25 and autistic and still lives with me putting him in a home is not an option. I understand that people always choose to stay in their homes over a nursing home. I love people and my goal is making them comfortable and happy.

I believe that we are all special, unique, different and with a purpose for our existence here on earth. For the many years that I have been taking care of the military men and women, I have loved the joy and appreciation that they give back. It is without a doubt that I will take a great care of your loved one just like I would care for my own. For me, life is a gift that comes from God and therefore, it must be respected.
