I became a caregiver because I did not want to work in main stream Healthcare anymore. My passion is helping seniors the way they and their family's want to be cared for without Healthcare systems making the choices for their care. I worked as a physical therapy assistant for 27 years. The last 8 were in a rehabilitation department at a skilled nursing facility. I have enjoyed the last 9 years doing private home care as a caregiver. Helping individuals live their lives with dignity, safety and loving care.

After being in the veterinary field for 20 years, I've gained a level of comfortability with all things clinical and medical. I adore the elderly and have experience with Alzheimer patients and those with dementia. I have always enjoyed working with people and have missed that since retiring from nursing a few years ago. I love getting to know people, finding out their interests and hearing their life stories. I grew up in a big family and value those special relationships. I realize a lot of people don't have a big family to rely on and I'm here to help fill that need.
