Young, physically active 47 yr-old with much training & yrs of exp working with young adult-geriatric population with many different conditions & in every residential/non-residential clinical setting. I've worked as a home health nurse aide, patient safety attendant, housekeeper, hospital/nursing home assistant and I love what I do! My career aspirations are to finish my MSN. I get along well with dogs (cats are negotiable) but, prefer a non-smoking home as I am a non smoker. I've been gainfully employed (by someone who found me on a similar website) for more than a year. Available for up to 12 hrs/day Mon-Fri, every other weekend. I am fully vaccinated, I can provide proof of residency/citizenship, complete work history, current professional/personal references. I have access to a good running, fully insured vehicle or I can drive yours. I have a good driving record. I will pass an IChat, DHS & CNA background check.

I've been in the medical field for over 25 years half of that I was employed at McLaren Hospital in the Heart Unit as a cardiac Tech /CNA .The last 10 years I have worked in home / hospice care and that is when I truly found my calling ,I absolutely love it .I am loyal, honest and definitely dependable and we all know how important that is when looking for a care giver. I am dependable, optimistic and like helping people. I am a Massage Therapist and have always been drawn to helping people heal with touch therapy. The 20 years I have been a massage therapist I have been able to help people with so many ailments and keep them from having to have surgery or stay on pain medication. I was asked by a friend in the last year to help her when she found out she had Brain Cancer. I didn't expect that I would learn so much and feel like I had a purpose like I did. The journey that we took for the last 6 months was very special and I am proud that I had the chance to be there every step of the way right next to her and make a difference. In addition to being a very empathetic person, I'm also very patient with the people in my life. I understand that the people I provide care for are on a difficult and at times, emotionally stressful journey. I pride myself in keeping to a consistent work schedule because I understand that my clients depend on me for assistance. I'm also adaptable to client emergencies or changes to schedules. Answer to the question, what am I most proud of??? I have to say its my boys.. I got to bring up two amazing fabulous sons to being productive independent men, while working as a single mom. They make me proud.

I enjoy effectively communicating with others and causing a positive impact in their life. I enjoy helping people achieve to live the best life possible in a safe and comfortable environment. I enjoy the companionship and building a relationship with others where they know they will be taken care of as if they were my family. My most valuable personal achievement would be obtaining an award for a 5 year hospice volunteer award for dedicating my time to families who need assistance.

Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient. Hello! I have been a caregiver for the past 5 years. Through advancing my career and lifestyle I have always stuck by and taken opportunities to pick up caregiver shifts. I'm a very compassionate and caring person, a mother of 5. I was raised by my great grandparents who are now elderly, I have helped take care of them since I was in my teenage years. My goal in life has always been to help people, which is why I am pursuing my masters degree in Social Work.
