I've been in the medical field for over 25 years half of that I was employed at McLaren Hospital in the Heart Unit as a cardiac Tech /CNA .The last 10 years I have worked in home / hospice care and that is when I truly found my calling ,I absolutely love it .I am loyal, honest and definitely dependable and we all know how important that is when looking for a care giver. I am dependable, optimistic and like helping people. I am a Massage Therapist and have always been drawn to helping people heal with touch therapy. The 20 years I have been a massage therapist I have been able to help people with so many ailments and keep them from having to have surgery or stay on pain medication. I was asked by a friend in the last year to help her when she found out she had Brain Cancer. I didn't expect that I would learn so much and feel like I had a purpose like I did. The journey that we took for the last 6 months was very special and I am proud that I had the chance to be there every step of the way right next to her and make a difference. In addition to being a very empathetic person, I'm also very patient with the people in my life. I understand that the people I provide care for are on a difficult and at times, emotionally stressful journey. I pride myself in keeping to a consistent work schedule because I understand that my clients depend on me for assistance. I'm also adaptable to client emergencies or changes to schedules. Answer to the question, what am I most proud of??? I have to say its my boys.. I got to bring up two amazing fabulous sons to being productive independent men, while working as a single mom. They make me proud.

Caring with Love and compassion will always be my goal in this field. Since I was a little girl I helped take care of my great grandmother. Fast forward to 1990, I knew I wanted to be of help and I made it to CNA school to get Certified! I started w/ Nursing/ Rehab in California and finally moved back to Hawaii to be closer to family. There I started helping out w/ taking care of Family and eventually started working for Agencies. One thing I know w/ having to work both Facilities & Homes, it's both rewarding. Difference is Time & Quality of Care! Facility definitely needing to manage Time/ Quality for each patients. Home Care is best for Patient. Hello! I have been a caregiver for the past 5 years. Through advancing my career and lifestyle I have always stuck by and taken opportunities to pick up caregiver shifts. I'm a very compassionate and caring person, a mother of 5. I was raised by my great grandparents who are now elderly, I have helped take care of them since I was in my teenage years. My goal in life has always been to help people, which is why I am pursuing my masters degree in Social Work. I love to help those I care for enjoy activities and assist them in daily necessities as well as encourage them into making positive choices. I am so proud of myself today as I have been able to consistently been a caregiver while pursuing my Bachelor's which I am now graduating in May with, and also while having 3 more children!

I have 30+ years in home health care with the last 12yrs specializing in spinal cord injury, ventilator, tracheotomy, wound care and hospice. I also have hospital experience, as well as, working with the Alzheimer, dementia, and mentally disabled. Along the way, I also had the pleasure of picking up the ability to learn and communicate with American Sign Language. I am passionate about my career because I love meeting the needs of each client I come in contact with. They teach me about who I am and Why I love my career and able to do what I love to do. I am available Monday through Friday. I prefer 24 hr shifts. Willing to travel up to 2 hours aways for longer shifts.
