I am passionate about caring for others and understand how becoming disabled can affect ADL. I've been attracted to becoming a caregiver since high school when I saw the nurses care for my infant sibling before my mother left the hospital. I enjoy making things easier for the client/patient. I am most proud of the things that I've learned because it's helped me to care for my NICU baby as well.

Hello, my name is Carrie Wallace. I became a caregiver because I am passionate about taking care of people. I strongly believe everyone deserves trustworthy, dependable, and compassionate care and be treated as if they were a member of my own family. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is getting to know people from all ages, stages and walks of life. As a CNA, I continue to take the necessary college courses to work towards becoming a Registered Nurse. I consider caregiving to be an enriching profession where I am compassionate, patient, considerate, nurturing, responsible, reliable, honest and family oriented. I offer experience with medical management, mobility assistance, bathing, dressing, transferring, eating, walking, grooming, toileting, personal care, light housework, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, errands, and companionship. My proudest personal achievement has been raising of my two, now grown, sons, who have both become very good young men.

Skills & Certifications: ALS, Alzheimer's Disease, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Blood Disorders, Cancer Recovery, Cardiovascular Disorders, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hospice Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Renal and Urological Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Skin Disorders, Stroke, HIV/AIDS

I became a caregiver because my Grandmother was stricken with Alzheimer's disease and I stopped everything and took care of her till the end. I believe God gave me this gift through my Grandmother because once she passed I continued on with another client then another and before I knew it I was loving what I was doing and I was passionate about it. I eventually went back to school and became certified. I am a loving, loyal, honest, kind, and a caring person and I have a lot of patience.

I grew up with a grandma who had strokes. She eventually became paralyzed from a stroke. I would watch my family do everything for her. When I turned 14 I began volunteering to do something she needed and I would stay the weekends and be the only one there to care for her. It brought us closer together. The best thing about being a caregiver would have to be the elderly you meet and the bond you create with them. My biggest achievement so far in life would be getting married. I am easy to get along with but I take my job very serious. I began in nursing when I was 22. My mom worked in nursing for 28yrs. and now I understand why my mom was happy and sad at the same time. Taking care of another human being is the most exciting and heartbreaking job.
