Hello. My name is Melissa. I used to work in assisted living facilities back in the early 2000s. I have experience with the elderly along with alzheimer disease. My grandmother moved in with my family. I took care of her for about 7 years until she passed away 3 years ago. In the time I have taken care of someone in the last years of their life, I feel like I have helped them whether it is just sitting and listening to them talk about old times or helping with daily needs. I am proud of my 4 children. Through having to stay at our restaurant 6 days of the week, going to school and doing their homework, and going through the transition of life with their great-grandmother. They are tough and I am so proud of them.

- when l took my nursing practice they gave me the elderly rom all the time and it was the most beautiful thing, because with them we shared anecdotes and beautiful stories together. I treated them the best so that one when l was that age or my patents they will treat them the same as me. - Be suman , helpful, positive, patient, constant, communicative, honest, empathetic... close I'm short be a good person. -Be part of their world and share new things and ideals. - Help people who need me, when they occupy a catheter and they could not move to the hospital. Helping makes me happy.

My name is Lelia but everyone calls me Lea. I'm a NCCDP Certified Dementia Practitioner and licensed NAI/CNA here in North Carolina. I am able to assist you by way of caring for your loved one when needed. In addition, my additional background as an Alzheimer's Association Community Educator adds to the whole person care approach. My schedule varies and may not currently correspond with your needs however I am flexible but if you are in need of time away to run errands, a date night or a maybe just a break I will be there. I know how challenging but yet still rewarding it is to be caregiver. I cared for my mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2021.
