My name is Sandra I'm a cna/ Med tech I have worked in the healthcare field for 40 years and I love it . I live in mocksville I enjoy caregiving to keep clients in there home, the most thing I enjoy is getting to know the client and making them happy and doing things for them so they can remain in there home.

My caregiving experience began with the birth of my first child. Beyond the expected hurdles of parenthood, there were years of weekly specialist appointments, daily nebulizer treatments, physical therapy, and a great deal of research. I was grateful to encounter many doctors and nurses willing to explain their work and answer my questions. As family members and friends encountered health problems, I became counsel and occasional medic. When loved ones, mine and those of others, have had extended hospital stays and long recoveries, my support has often been requested. When extended stays have brought those affected to sit with mortality, I have sat and faced it with them.

I got in to the field because my grandmother was a diabetic an had to have both legs amputated an there was limited help with assisting her so I wanted to learn how an what ways I can help others.

Hello. My name is Melissa. I used to work in assisted living facilities back in the early 2000s. I have experience with the elderly along with alzheimer disease. My grandmother moved in with my family. I took care of her for about 7 years until she passed away 3 years ago. In the time I have taken care of someone in the last years of their life, I feel like I have helped them whether it is just sitting and listening to them talk about old times or helping with daily needs. I am proud of my 4 children. Through having to stay at our restaurant 6 days of the week, going to school and doing their homework, and going through the transition of life with their great-grandmother. They are tough and I am so proud of them.

I am kind-hearted and have good organizational skills. I will be there to help and to keep track of care plans. My main goal in giving care is to always keep the patient safe.

From friends recovering from surgeries and other medical procedures to family members fighting for their lives and my many students with heath issues and extreme limitations and restrictions over the years...nothing brings me the joy and fulfillment that taking care of others brings. I am CPR and first aid certified and will begin my journey to get my CNA and Home Health Aide certifications soon.
