I love being a provider and helper although I am finishing my degree in social work,I don't want to walk away from this part of the helping field. The relationships that are developed in this setting have proven to be very cherishable moments for me. I am med certified and CPR and first aide certified.

Being a caregiver is something I've always wanted to do but I really experienced the joy of it when I started a part time position years ago at a residence for individuals with developmental disabilities. I've also recently assisted in taking care of my grandmother who has cancer and recently undergone an leg amputation. I assisted her with getting dressed, using facilities and meal preparation. I love seeing the joy on someone's face when they are doing something they enjoy. I like making people happy and helping in any way I can. I feel more productive when I'm physically doing something vs sitting behind a desk all day.
