I have been in the care giving fields for over 10 years, I started out at the age of 18 working as a Direct Support professional and Residential Counselor, I went on to become a care aide and I enjoyed seeing the difference I made in peoples lives ai wanted to advance my career in the field so I can be more knowledgeable on how to help people, so i first became a License Practical Nurse and now a little over a year a Registerrd Nurse. I have been a caregiver for a few years now. In those few years, i have learned valuable lessons that will stay with me forever. Lessons taught by other staff or a patient. They can't teach you everything in a classroom, you have to learn somethings hands on, and those are the lessons I will never forget. Understanding many do not think they need help for the reasoning of they have taken care of themselves for many years. I am able to let them know I am just to help with little assets.
