I believe what makes me a great caregiver is the experience I have. I have 5 years experience working for an agency and independently. I have significant experience with hospice care, dementia, Alzheimers , Parkinson's, COPD, cancers, companion care and the general everyday care of those that can't do things for themselves anymore like cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and showers. I always keep medical books in the homes of my clients/patients. On every shift I always take blood pressure , temperature and oxygen so that Vitals can be monitored regularly for any changes. The medical books will keep logs of daily living such as any Dr appointments, mood changes, medications, vitals, daily diet and activities. It's important to catch/detect any change in health. Communication is big with me on keeping everyone on the same page so that the best care can be given at all times. I'm a registered health care aid, . CPR/First Aide certified. I became a health care aide because I believe our loved ones get better care at home from one on one care opposed to a nursing home.

Hello! My name is Jenna Taber I am 29 years old. I have a 6 year old son named Michael and he lives with me. I have been in the caregiving field for well over 12 years, but I became certified through All Metro Healthcare in Corning around 4 years ago. I have worked in nursing homes and clients homes as well. I have experience with dementia clients, TBI clients, Alzheimer's clients, bed ridden clients,and clients who use a hoyer or a lumex to transfer. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life even if it's just helping them with their daily needs. I wanted to be in the healthcare field due to seeing how much neglect my grandfather was put through. I also wanted to make a difference in someone's life as well. My goal is to become an RN or an LPN in the near future.

What makes me a great caregiver is my personality. I've been in the care giving field since I was 17. Even before that. I was helping my mom at her job since I was 7. My whole life I've grown to love the caregiving field.

My favorite thing about being a caregiver is seeing them feel comfortable and smile when I am caring for them & attending to what they may not be able to do themselves. One my personal achievements I am proud of is, getting my CNA in 2020 & my CPR in 2022.

I'm a mother of two kids, one boy and one girl. I spend most of my days with my kids. I enjoy working with patients who need a companion in their live. Hello, My name is DeAnna. I have been in the line of health care for 13 years, working in nursing homes as a state Certified Nurses Aide as well as in private homes as a Home Health Aide. I have worked with many various ailments both mental and physical. I specialize in rehabilitation, Alzheimer's/Dementia, and skilled nursing/hospice. I love knowing that I am making a positive difference in someone's life! I also own and operate a senior care and service company. I have a great group of girls that were my co-workers until I decided to make my own business. Our caregivers range from Companions to C.N.A's and I am looking into to hiring a nurse to join our team. I actively work as a cargiver within my company and make minimal profit off hours I dont personally work as a care giver. What this means is I have well paid aides who enjoy working for/with me and I can take the burden of hiring and scheduling cargivers off your shoulders. We have on call aides to fill in should anything unexpected come up for a caregiver so you need not ever worry about someone not coming. I also carry liability insurance on myself as well as my fellow caregivers and they are my employees which means they are covered under my disability, unemployment, and workmans comp if anything should happen. I have been a caregiver for two years. I worked at two facilities. I am familiar with working with people with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, covid-19, and many others. I have been through training multiple times and I know to feed , bathe , shower patients. If I will cook for the patient , clean, do household chores ect.
