I have been providing in-home care on and off for the past 20 years. I have a passion for seniors and providing quality care. In addition to being a caregiver, I provide training for other caregivers. Topics that I train on include person centered care, medication administration basics, diabetes, stroke, heart attack, angina, Parkinson's disease, dementia, proper body mechanics when transferring, writing incident reports, progress notes and writing and following care plans . As well as and fire safety in the home environment nutrition and self care for caregivers.

I became a caregiver completely by accident. I was totally new to the career field when I started, but now I love it. I take pride in the fact that I can help people with aspects of their lives that have become challenging, and at times, impossible. I enjoy being someone the clients are glad to see each day I spend with them. I have achieved alot of personal growth during the 6 years I've been a caregiver. Each client had given me a differnt perspective on many things, as well as some good life lessons. I'm sort of shy at first when meeting new clients, but I've come to understand that the transition is just as, if not more so uncomfortable for them. I've come to see that it's not easy for someone who was once fully independant, now has to rely on someone else for even the simplest things. My job is make their lives a little less stressfull, and to make their day a little more brighter, if I can.

I love being able to give people the care they need to be able to stay at home. It makes me happy to know that i can help make it possible for people to remain in their own homes if thats where they wish to be instead of them being forced into a facility. I have alot of patience and am very easy to get along with. I am also very reliable and friendly.

I love working with people and caring for them. I enjoy caregiving because I want to do and be the best person I can because the person I'm caring for has family and deserves to be treated as a beautiful person.
