I am trustworthy ,reliable, and loyal with a heart for working with the elderly. I have the knowledge and skill set to provide assistance with bathing, and daily personal grooming care. Medication management, and I understand the challenges of Alzheimer's/Dementia and will actively engage in a meaningful way to enrich and maintaining a healthy daily schedule. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I do light housekeeping, laundry and can prepare nutritious meals. I truly enjoy providing companionship and have a listening ear. And a non- smoker. I care about everybody, and try too help out as many people as possible. It brings a smile too my face when I see others smile, and i know I'm doing everything I can too make that person comfortable and happy. What I really love about being a caregiver is the conversations I have with the elderly. Hearing about their life, and diffrent expirences they went through sometimes are life changing. Just getting too know them and knowing I'm helping someone makes me happy. One of the achievements I'm proud of is passing my TNA classes & getting a certificate. That made my day.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

(2) Why did I become a caregiver: When i was in my early twenties I had got a job in activities in a Nursing Facility and realized this was my passion. Then became a Cna/ Gna. I enjoy caring for others. (3) What do I like about being a caregiver: I like being a caregiver because it makes me feel good to know that I'm having a positive impact caring for someone .

I give quality care to my clients. I'm always on time, never late. Very reliable. Been a CNA for 26 yrs. Because we all belong to God, and he wanted me to take care of his people. I like being a caregiver because i'm helping others that need help that can't help themselves much anymore, and they need someone there to assist them with the things they can't do anymore like they used to. My personal acievement that i'm proud of is that i've been a CNA for 26 yrs helping others for a long time now. I'm very proud of that accomplishment.

I became a caregiver because I am a compassionate , kind person who believes that anyone going through a tough journey deserves to have the best of care by someone who cares . I find the greatest reward in my job is meeting people who matter , and can offer as much to me as i can to them. I believe i learn from every person ive ever cared for. I am most proud of having every person ive ever cared for like the person i am and be leased with the care i have given them. I have gone through knowing hard journeys in life because my own child was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 10 yrs. I have 30+ years experience in long term care> I have also done 1 1/2 years Hospice care and have also done Home Care. I love working with the elderly as I think I get more from them then anything I can do for them. I feel people should be shown respect, and that their dignity is what needs to be on everyone's mind that are caring for that resident! I knew at the age of 8 that I wanted to be a nurse and I have been blessed in my life as I have enjoyed so many years doing what I always wanted to do.I have been trained by the Alzheimers Association to care for and enhance the lives of the Dementia patient's I have cared for I have help develop and implement what I learned to open a Dementia unit that used Aromatherapy, Cognitive Activities, Music Therapy and ADL help. i became a caregiver because i have a great passion for this job, i love assisting elderly people with their activities of daily living, i always love to challenge and endulge myself in several situations. Being my brothers and sisters keeper is my number one priority. i believe helping the elderly people will help me to learn different concepts which will tend to improve my personal life

I was born and raised in Sierra Leone west African. I am compassionate, honest and love what I do. I like helping people, and have a big heart. What attract me to be a caregiver was that, my father was so sick , proper care was not given to him I watched him died because there was nothing I could do then. Since then I took it upon myself to help the senior citizens. But I enjoy it must when am appreciated for what am doing, because no amount of money is enough for what we do as caregivers, is not all about the money.
