My name is Tanisha! I have been a caregiver since 2016 right before my grandmother was sick and suddenly passed. Thats where my passion really began, as a youg girl I would go with my mom to work in the nursing homes and i knew from there that thats what i wanted to pursue in life. I am a very loving and compassionate person. I enjoy helping people in anyway i can with compassion. I am a very friendly and well mannered individual, i am most proud of my 5 beautiful children. I care about everybody, and try too help out as many people as possible. It brings a smile too my face when I see others smile, and i know I'm doing everything I can too make that person comfortable and happy. What I really love about being a caregiver is the conversations I have with the elderly. Hearing about their life, and diffrent expirences they went through sometimes are life changing. Just getting too know them and knowing I'm helping someone makes me happy. One of the achievements I'm proud of is passing my TNA classes & getting a certificate. That made my day.

I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I have been a cna since 1998 . I love taking care of people and making them smile. I've worked in hospitals, long term care facilities and in home care.

I was born and raised in Sierra Leone west African. I am compassionate, honest and love what I do. I like helping people, and have a big heart. What attract me to be a caregiver was that, my father was so sick , proper care was not given to him I watched him died because there was nothing I could do then. Since then I took it upon myself to help the senior citizens. After helping take care of my oldest sister before she passed away I found that it is very rewarding to assist those who need help with daily needs. I enjoy getting to know the person I am taking care of; their background and life experiences. Learning from them is always fun. I love to motivate people; I had a client who would separate himself from the group, after finding out some of his interest I was able to get him to engage and socialize with others. I am self motivated and always do not only what is necessary to take care of my clients but to go that extra step to make them feel special and cared for.
