I love the fact that I'm appreciated and I like the feeling I get that I've helped someone who needs me. I would like to open my own personal care home one day.

Blessings. My name is Irina. I am a daughter, mother, gf, I love Jesus. Since being a young girl I have always wanted to take care of others. To be someone's something when they are in need. I became a nurse in 1998. I started in nursing facilities. I have worked part time in a family doctors office, ER setting. My most rewarding job is Private care. To be able to provide one on one is so beautiful. To be needed is such a great blessing. I have experience in most diseases and illnesses. I worked with ALS, Heart Failures, Cancers, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Skin Conditions, Vision Loss. Wellness is very important to me. So I always try to incorporate healthy eating habits and healthy life style to those I care for. We are surrounded by to much negativity so being a small positive in someone's life is a beautiful gift.

I am a great caregiver because I treat my clients male, or female, as if he, or she, are one of my family members. No there's no limits to my care, I will always go above and beyond. I've changed a lot of live, I also have saved lives, with in the past fourteen years I've been in this field. I became a caregiver because of several family members are in the same field, my mom is an registered nurse, going on 35 years, my grandmother was a LPN, and my aunts are CNA. So it deep rooted, so to speak.

I was employed with a doctor of Internal Medicine as an office assistant but I found I preferred working more closely with the patients than that position afforded me. I have extensive experience with taking care of the elderly and the terminally ill as I have taken care of both my grandmother and my terminally ill daughter. My grandmother lived to be 97 and I took care of all her needs till till she was taken to a nursing home by my aunt 2 years before her death. Also, I took care of my daughter who fought a three year battle with osteoscarcoma. After a short recovery she relapse and the tumors began growing in her lungs. She was on hospice care with Gilchrist and they came once a week for 15 minute visits thus the bulk of her care was administered by me till she passed away at home. I have done much charity work including, work with the homeless, senior center enrichment classes (crochet), and Meals on Wheels. I enjoy being outside and taking walks, animals of all kinds, and reading. I am a quiet and patient individual and have great compassion for all but especially the young, elderly and ill. I am at my best with one on one interactions where bonds and friendships can be made. It is my desire to move to PA, between the Shrewsbury and York area so I am very interested in Norther MD, York to Southern PA positions.

What makes me a great caregiver is providing the best care to my residents, being dependable, respectful, making sure my resident feels safe and is safe at all times, & I always treat my residents as if they were my own family. I became a caregiver because it is my passion to help people and become a good nurse for those who need care, I also love the elderly because I'm so close with my grandma. being a caregiver to me is very rewarding. what i love about being a caregiver is the rewarding feeling everyday that i go in to when I clock out to leave, making sure my residents are loved, cared, and meet their everyday needs, and nothing feels better than my residents having a great smile on their face and saying thank you. I feel most accomplished is when I complete my assignment and I know that I did my best taking care of my residents.
