Things that makes me a great care giver is putting someone else's interest ahead of my own. We must love our neighbors as we love our self. So the love that I have for humans is deep rooted. Which makes me want to willingly help more. What brought me closer to wanting to be a care giver is the challenges that I know some elderly people have or people who needed that extra assistance may have issues and sometimes nothing can help suppress that satisfaction but the satisfaction have to be following the rules and making sure that the patient is well taking care of. What I enjoy most about care giving is seeing the smiles on the clients and or patients faces when goals have been accomplished that lets me know that they see what I'm doing, they appreciate it and they want an encore because of the services they've received . A personal achievement that I am proud of is being a dedicated servant of god. That is a marvelous blessing to me.

(2) Why did I become a caregiver: When i was in my early twenties I had got a job in activities in a Nursing Facility and realized this was my passion. Then became a Cna/ Gna. I enjoy caring for others. (3) What do I like about being a caregiver: I like being a caregiver because it makes me feel good to know that I'm having a positive impact caring for someone .

I am a great caregiver because I treat my clients male, or female, as if he, or she, are one of my family members. No there's no limits to my care, I will always go above and beyond. I've changed a lot of live, I also have saved lives, with in the past fourteen years I've been in this field. I became a caregiver because of several family members are in the same field, my mom is an registered nurse, going on 35 years, my grandmother was a LPN, and my aunts are CNA. I have 30+ years experience in long term care> I have also done 1 1/2 years Hospice care and have also done Home Care. I love working with the elderly as I think I get more from them then anything I can do for them. I feel people should be shown respect, and that their dignity is what needs to be on everyone's mind that are caring for that resident! I knew at the age of 8 that I wanted to be a nurse and I have been blessed in my life as I have enjoyed so many years doing what I always wanted to do.I have been trained by the Alzheimers Association to care for and enhance the lives of the Dementia patient's I have cared for I have help develop and implement what I learned to open a Dementia unit that used Aromatherapy, Cognitive Activities, Music Therapy and ADL help.
