Things that makes me a great care giver is putting someone else's interest ahead of my own. We must love our neighbors as we love our self. So the love that I have for humans is deep rooted. Which makes me want to willingly help more. What brought me closer to wanting to be a care giver is the challenges that I know some elderly people have or people who needed that extra assistance may have issues and sometimes nothing can help suppress that satisfaction but the satisfaction have to be following the rules and making sure that the patient is well taking care of. What I enjoy most about care giving is seeing the smiles on the clients and or patients faces when goals have been accomplished that lets me know that they see what I'm doing, they appreciate it and they want an encore because of the services they've received . A personal achievement that I am proud of is being a dedicated servant of god. That is a marvelous blessing to me.

(2) Why did I become a caregiver: When i was in my early twenties I had got a job in activities in a Nursing Facility and realized this was my passion. Then became a Cna/ Gna. I am a great caregiver because I treat my clients male, or female, as if he, or she, are one of my family members. No there's no limits to my care, I will always go above and beyond. I was employed with a doctor of Internal Medicine as an office assistant but I found I preferred working more closely with the patients than that position afforded me. I have extensive experience with taking care of the elderly and the terminally ill as I have taken care of both my grandmother and my terminally ill daughter. My grandmother lived to be 97 and I took care of all her needs till till she was taken to a nursing home by my aunt 2 years before her death. Also, I took care of my daughter who fought a three year battle with osteoscarcoma. After a short recovery she relapse and the tumors began growing in her lungs. She was on hospice care with Gilchrist and they came once a week for 15 minute visits thus the bulk of her care was administered by me till she passed away at home. I have done much charity work including, work with the homeless, senior center enrichment classes (crochet), and Meals on Wheels. I enjoy being outside and taking walks, animals of all kinds, and reading. I am a quiet and patient individual and have great compassion for all but especially the young, elderly and ill. I am at my best with one on one interactions where bonds and friendships can be made. It is my desire to move to PA, between the Shrewsbury and York area so I am very interested in Norther MD, York to Southern PA positions.
