I am a Christian first and far most! I love all of God's people. That makes me a wonderful care giver. Your love one will love me like I love them. No job is to big, I do what ever is needed to make sure my clients are taking care of.

I have been taking care of people since 1971 when I took care of my grandmother in a nursing home. I love being able to help people who can no longer care for themselves & helping seniors so they can stay in their homes is very important to me. I've been taking care of people for 46 years & I've learned alot thru the years & still learning how to help people enjoy their life. I am a retired CNA. I would like to add that my fingerprints are on file with Spartanburg county police, this was done when I worked for DSS daycare.

I have worked for a place called Harbor Chase since 2014 I have worked in a department called Memory Care. I worked with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients is my specialty. I am patient, energetic and passionate individual. I love working with the Elderly whether assisting them from eating to going to bathroom etc. Also does housekeeping and meal preparation whether it's soft or regular food.

I am able to treat people the way I would want myself or someone in my family to be treated. I believe that I receive so very much more in my position as a caregiver. My heart is so full of gratitude whenever I end my day. Everyday is different and you have to be ready to go with what's happening at that moment in time. I am very flexible and dependable in that respect. I love a challenge and I love helping others that need the help. I think it is important though that you let them know that you are there to help do whatever they need help with, not there to tell them what or how to do it, make suggestions and always remember that they are still thinking, feeling human beings.

Ever since my mother was diagnosed in 2016 with kidney cancer, I've taken a newfound appreciation for home health care. I helped my father and younger sister care for our mother in her last years. My family has instilled a kindness in me that I carry with me every single day, as it's part of who I am, of who they raised me to be. My parents taught me about how to reflect the love I've been given in my life back out into the world, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about how I can make a difference. I've learned a lot in my life about patience, about knowing to remain joyful in every day, as we are never promised tomorrow. I've been a caregiver for my father in the last few years as well, and I'll never regret that. Being someone who will listen, who will show up and be there for the ones we love, that is what is important to me. I hope I can be that pillar of support for others in my life, and I'm inspired by my parents kindness to do so. I enjoy being able to give others a chance at independence, to feel better about their situations knowing it doesn't have to be done alone. Helping my family in their time of need has been my greatest achievement, because at the end of the day the connections I carry through this life are what matter the most to me. I'm always wanting to learn, wanting to elevate my understanding of this life in how we can help each other, and my goal is to continue to bring that kindness instilled to me to every table I sit at in my life. My father and sister have lived their whole lives with diabetes, so I'm very familiar with treatments and knowing the signs for potential lows or highs in blood sugar levels. I believe in respecting people who need support and allow myself to be available however I can in their day to day life. I keep myself in good shape and have no problems with assisting in any heavy lifting a client may need.

I became a caregiver because of my father. He use to live in a assistant living an just was not comfortable with no one doing his care. I had to trust the people that were on his team that everything will be OK. I like making a difference in a family's life when it come to a love one. Making sure that everything goes as they want it to go. Taking care of people that cant take care of them self or don't have a helping hand make me feel good. I had to volenteer for a nursing home during High School and it was there where I found my passion. Living with my grandparents and helping them only confirmed that. I am kind, very patient, honest, and very humble. I've grown thick skin through life so I am not easily offended. My heart is the happiest when I give love and care to those who need it.
