My name is Tiara I'm 25 years old, when I was 18 my grandmother fell ill and there was nobody that we felt could give her the around the clock skilled care she needed without going into a facility (which nobody would have allowed to happen) so I began caring for her myself, following under the direction hospice had given. I began turning her as needed aiding in her mobility so she wouldn't lose the use of her legs, hand over hand feeding her. Anything she needed I was there and I realized I didn't just like to help but instead it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing more then just assisting I was a companion. She was no longer"down in the dumps" it's a wonderful feeling. I'm a very honest easy going person, I've got a habit of always seeing the brighter side. I enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. Im currently awaiting my test for my cna certification and soon after I will be bridging to LPN.

I've been caregiving for actually awhile I have a nephew that had brain and spinal cancer and I cared for him he had a feeding tube a tube to drain fluid of the brain around the clock meds andchemo it was really challenging but we made it by the grace of God. To sum it all up having to get him better just made me realize that there's people everyday that needs someone to just care and give there time

I have always enjoyed taking care of people and helping every way that I can. I took care of my nanny for 4 years before she passed and that is what initially made me become a care giver. I believe the most essential asset that I have is I know what my patients experience and relate to they way they feel. I was in a bad car wreck 3 years ago, and I was disabled and could not walk for a year. I was put into a nursing home for rehabilitation and was not able to do anything for mysel .
