I became a caregiver in 2004 because I'd spent the last few years of my grandmother's life helping her while she suffered with Alzheimers. I saw how important it was for them to have someone there to help them with the day to day when family couldn't be. Then after I got into the profession my love for helping others just grew. To see the joy it brings to the person to sometimes just have someone there for a companion. I work full time at Rusk State Hospital working closely with clients on Therapeutic Rehabilitation. I went back to part time home health again in July 2021 and am so thankful that I did. In the last 4 years I've worked with some of the absolute most wonderful families. One client even always told his wife, "I'm sure glad she's coming today because I miss her, she's a sweet little girl". I feel such a connection with my clients that to me, they aren't just clients, they are family! I go above and beyond during my visits, I dont just cook and clean. I help out with things from small art projects to flower gardening with my clients, whatever makes them smile that day is what they needed. I am currently on my CPR and Basic Life Support Certification as well.

I like to think of myself as a positive friendly caring person who has a passion and a big heart for people especially in their biggest need for assistance and companionship, serving and helping is what I do, so my heart is where I'm at, my "job"as a caregiver start time from 730am to 430 pm hours

I have patience I have compassion and humor being present and I like being detailed oriented . I like being cooperative and accepting help keeping tabs on med reminders people may ask questions over and over I have patience to answer I am empathy and understanding when caring find things to laugh about in tough situations

Hello, I am Sharon Smith- Evans. i am a 47 year old woman who enjoys her life, but also is a natural born nurturer. i have worked since i could work. i have often worked a full time job and part time as well. I enjoy older people. I have worked in Psych for over 16 year+ . I have worked geriatric psych, transportation at a nursing facility, i have done caregiving for home health agencies. and an assisted living. I love working with the elderly. I love to have conversations with them about their past lives and how things were in their younger years. I am proud of the work i do and have done. I try to a be an asset wherever I go and not a liability. I feel i can fit in anywhere because i can get along with anyone, i listen, and i communicate with people in general.

I'm a experience home health and lot of experience in large facilies. With full care part care. I can adapt to anything. I all ways make sure the client and there family's are informed. I take notes of any abnormal behavior. To let the family or facilies now. CPR certified.

I am a people person, I love to help and I enjoy seeing people happy. I believe when you give to the world, the world constructively gives back to you. Putting a smile on people faces means the world to me.
