So about 25+ yrs. of experience as I got older I cared for my mom then later my father til they past. I love taking care of others sometimes I wish there were more of me to help others. Hello 44 years old I have been in the health care field for over 15 years now I love helping the elder and those with disabilities or those that just need companionship. I choose this field because it gives me great comfort knowing I can make someone's day a bit more comfortable and a little easier or even just making one smile. I believe we all will need someone to care for us at some point in life so I treat those the way I'd want to be cared for later in life. I also work with special needs patients and IDD i was a home Coordinator at a group home 3 years i enjoy this as well. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I became a part-time caregiver years ago when we discovered my dad had dementia in the 90s. I have always been a caregiver in my family . My background is in finance. Kids got to college and I decided I'd do what was in my heart! Love being a companion and helpful Guide when I'm needed in a shopping, cooking, housekeeping and overall balancing act for someone who just needs some assistance.

My father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. It was my responsibility to be the sole caregiver for him for 3 months. My partner of 24 years was diagnosed with renal failure and I was his caregiver for 5 years of dialysis and hospitalization. I did home dialysis with a solution and later did blood dialysis at home. I did his daily pills, insulin injection, and all the standard household duties in our home.

Working in a cancer hospital my whole career, I am very good at taking care of and anticipating the needs of my clients, but also filling the void of loneliness that many of the elderly/ill clients experience.
