I work as a attendant now with At Home Healthcare, United Healthcare and a Diamond Professional Caregiver with CareLinx. I've taken the academy classes with CareLinx so I could refresh my skills. I have passed my background screening and I am CPR certified, too. I enjoy working with seniors because some of them have lived some adventurous lives. My greatest achievement is making a difference in their lives and they tell you so. When your day is over you know you have done your best. You can look up and smile.

Hi y'all, my name is Abby Mathis, I was born and raised in a small town in Texas!! Around the age 11 my great grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's. During the years leading up to her death I knew I wanted to one day be able to help men and women just like her. As I got older my love to help people got greater and once I was old enough I started working in the health care industry. After working as receptionist in a doctors office I decided I would rather be hands on with the patients. I took a 4 week class at Christus St Michaels too because a certified PCT. After finishing that class, I started working at St Michaels and I was over the moon excited to be hands on with the patients! Working hands on with all patients only made my love for helping people grow even greater. My whole life I have always wanted to help others before I do anything for my self and working with the patients in the hospital helped me do just that! One thing about me is that I always treat my patients like they are my family especially because many of my family members have been hospitalized and there have been multiple times my family members were not satisfied with their nurses. A personal achievement I want to continue to make is helping my patients get better and achieve their goals!
