Hi there. My name is Donna and I am an independent home health aide. I love caring for those in need and doing my part to ensure they are happy, healthy and safe.

I am a loving and caring individual who loves to help others. All my life I have provide care to various family members. My grandpa had asthma and I was there to give him treatments when he needed it. Then my great grandparents when they needed care, when my grandmothers both developed cancer I stepped in to help care for them. One grandmother had a colostomy bag. I was taught how to irrigate and replace the bag. My son had asthma as a baby and had lots of allergies. I researched and learned to cook different for his sake. When my Dad developed cancer I stopped working and started helping my mom care for him. Now my Mom needs care so now I am stepping up to take care of her. I feel like that I made life easier on my loved ones by being their caregiver. The fact that I am helping others is why I enjoy being a caregiver. That is the main reason I choose to work in the Head Start Program, especially the Early Head Start Program. My personal achievements that I am proud of with the little ones is that I helped them to learn to walk when they were behind and worked to teach one baby to turn it's head. The one personal achievement I am proud of the most is when my Mom was having trouble raising her arms and I helped her improve mobility. I researched Chair Yoga that would help her. Then I joined her in getting the Yoga done. She had trouble at first, but working through it over time she improved.

Hello, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have been a caregiver for over 20 years. Taking care of the elderly is very much a passion of mine and it's my happy place other than the birth my of two boys, at the given moment in time I am doing what I love and that's is helping my individual with his or her needs that have become difficult due to age and or illness. Here is a little bit about what all I have done in the past 20 years that has to do with this field. I worked with hospice, I have been a medication aid, phlebotomy in a dialysis center. Physical therapist tech III at Abilene State School. Working at the State School was something totally out of my comfort zone but was so worth every minute spent there the knowledge I soaked in really enhanced my ability working with Alzheimer's and dementia individuals. So as you have read I wear many hates. There was a time when I thought about taking it to the next level and going to nursing school but as I got older and from working nurses are very important but there is less hand on with the individual and I am all about hands on and taking care of my individual at the time. My greatest achievement are my kids they keep me grounded and focused. My attraction to this field comes from my mom. She started out as a caregiver but went back to school and became a nurse. So you see this field has been in my blood for a very long time and it's my heart it's just who I am and what I love. I am new to the Carelinx family but know this line of work deep in my soul, take a chance on me so you can see for yourself. Thank you

People often find me very friendly and easy to talk to. I find that those are two important things when it comes to being a caregiver. Although I have plenty of experience through being a home health aid as well as a CNA, I'd describe my best skill for the role of a caregiver as compassion. I've never worked a position where a bond has not been formed. That is what is most enjoyable about being a caregiver. Most women in my family are nurses which is what initially peeked my interest in this field.

I enjoy helping people to lead a more safe productive life. I am a kind, caring, and trustworthy person. I am a hard worker who likes to get the job done. I have worked with elderly in nursing home. I also have done private home health. I have experience working with disabled individuals also. I am most proud of being a wife and mother. My daughter is an adult now.

Well I've been in the medical field for 9yrs, and I've lost several family members to cancer and just seen that I to wanted, to help. I've seen to much that makes me want to become a Healthcare provider. I've taken care of my grandparents, and my dad has been diagnosed with liposarcoma, and have experience in taking care of my own. I am compassionate about caring for patients and understanding the needs as well.

Hi my names Ashley, I'd like to tell you why I became the person I am today. It is because I had a loving mother who always showed me how to care for others, no matter the situation. She showed me how to help those who needed help and not just by doing it for them, but encouraging them to help themselves. Yes I do help when it's to much, and am a mother, so when my person I'm helping is having a hard time I step in and guide them and help them. I do for them what someone once did for me, but in reverse. As we know, in most cases, things are not getting better. So I help first a little and then gradually step in when it's to hard. I am a CNA and am working on going to college for my RN.
