Hello 44 years old I have been in the health care field for over 15 years now I love helping the elder and those with disabilities or those that just need companionship. I choose this field because it gives me great comfort knowing I can make someone's day a bit more comfortable and a little easier or even just making one smile. I believe we all will need someone to care for us at some point in life so I treat those the way I'd want to be cared for later in life. My father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. It was my responsibility to be the sole caregiver for him for 3 months. My partner of 24 years was diagnosed with renal failure and I was his caregiver for 5 years of dialysis and hospitalization. I did home dialysis with a solution and later did blood dialysis at home. I did his daily pills, insulin injection, and all the standard household duties in our home.

When I was 11 years old my Mother passed away. My sweet grandmother took my brother, sister & I to her home & loved us thru our teen years. I believe that is the reason I decided to be a caregiver & take care of seniors. One of the special things I do is play the piano in several senior homes. Music is very important for seniors. I have been taking care of seniors since 2008. I love to make seniors laugh & feel comfortable.
