I went into nursing when I was young I started out in housekeeping when I was 16 I started working on the floor when I was 17 Bathing Changing their clothes, changing, diapers brushing the teeth feeding Exercising with them taking walks outside Just taking care of all of their daily needs working in a facility that I was at for about 20 years and I've also sit in homes for about eight years. I went into nursing because I have five kids of my own. They are grown now, but I've always said if anything would happen to them I wanted to be the one to take care of them, because I worked in facilities and I know and saying they care that some get and I said if I can help it, my children would never go have the same attitude when it comes to me if anything would happen to me I never wanna stay in a facility I wanna get taken care of in my home or either in their home . what I do I have a heart and a passion for taking care of the elderly and sick. I enjoy the conversations of their childhood and growing up. I love cooking and cleaning because if you get care in your home, your household needs to be cleaned and you need a home-cooked meal if you have a dog or a cat, I don't mind taking care of them too ...

I am kind and compassionate. I think of loving your neighbor as yourself and how would I want to be treated as a person and especially as an elderly person. I started early in life being a caregiver with becoming a CNA in three different states and then later in life after raising my children I went back to college and got my degree at UNCG. I went back into the field of caregiving because it is very fulfilling and somewhat flexible especially when you have three children in school and having many sports between them. I've had many different clients with different illnesses and disabilities over the almost twenty years all together that I've been in the profession of caregiving for the elderly. I've not only enjoyed it but find it very fulfilling when caring for my clients and developing a relationship with them.

Hello, I have been a caregiver since 2009. I received my CNA in 2017 and has been working as a CNA since. I enjoy being able to be there for different people providing the care that they need. I enjoy interacting with the elderly and supporting them in every way possible. What I enjoy the most is knowing I can make a difference for someone else and being able to provide the best care as possible while they're in my care. I am very proud that I chose this occupation and hopefully one day I will become a Nurse.
