I have over 10 years of experience working as a caregiver and being a caregiver gives me fulfillment and joy.

After termination of several caregivers, I decided to care for my mom until when we relocated to USA in 2007. She died in 2013. Since I took responsibility to care for mom, I gained passion for this job. I love to care for individuals with physical, emotional and intellectual challenges. I love being available to give loving,compassionate, professional care, and a caring support to those in need. I like being a caring, loving and respectful staff. I have witnessed an individual who couldn't get to the community start going out for a walk at the mall and joining other individuals in the house and watch television interactively without issues. I started by encouraging and giving assurance that he is safe and when he gets out, I will transport him back. Companion, encouragement and assurance helped him break the walls of fear of unknown. I have certification through taking continuous education. I have trained on how to perform CPR/FIRST AID, food handling, nurse delegation , Dementia.

I'm a mother of two and a daughter. My mom lives with me. I'm a military spouse. I'm very compassionate, understanding and have big heart for elderly. I grew up with my grandparents since my father passed before I knew him. And my grandparents passed before I can give them the care they need. For that reason alone give me motivation to give the love for my grandparents that they never had from me to passed it on to other elderly people. I always treat them as my own grandparents. I have my CPR and BLS. I have food handling permit. I have my NAR and working to my CNA next month. Taking some of my pre-requisite to my Nursing degree.
