I consider myself of being a great caregiver because I have a good personality, I'm always smiling, I do not take any of my social or personal life to my job, I never leave a job that I haven't finished and if I get in a situation that's complicated I will take all the time it takes to figure out the problem, I am very dependable and always on time, I have patience and highly respect my clients or elders. What attracted me to being in the medical field was that I am a loving person that care and enjoy helping people with their daily needs. After I helped my mom take care of my dad almost 23 years ago, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, that's all I've had a passion for every since, traveling from client to client. I really enjoy the companionship and some of the funny stories my clients have to tell about the past,. I like to make them feel that it's somebody in the world that still loves and cares for them and have no problem with helping them if needed. I thank God for letting me be able to do the job I do and the caring and loving person I am.

For 25 years I worked as a retail pharmacist and I have always loved talking to people and helping them understand their medicines. However, I have really enjoyed the satisfaction that comes from providing one on one care. I have been an in home caregiver for over a year now and I love learning from my clients. One has taught me some amazing old recipes and another loves telling me about life when she was a little girl almost 90 years ago. I love bringing a smile to my clients' faces and a sense of calm and peace to their lives.

I am the mother and caregiver of a 43 year old son with quadriplegic cerebral palsy so I am very experienced with disabilities and needed equipment. I cared for my mother, who had alzheimer's disease. I have been a church secretary for the last two years. I have been in the health care setting for over twenty years. I learn at an early age from my mother about how important and rewarding it is to take care of the elderly. My mother toke care of her mother and father and aunt and uncle. She brought them in her home and toke care of them. I helped her with them. Then I brought my mother and my father in my home and toke care of them with help of my husband till they pass in 2009. I've worked at three different hospital over twenty years. I am now 56 years old and work as a caregiver. I enjoy my job it is very rewarding work. I was also a foster parent so I enjoy children as well. I have firm but not to strong personality, l worked with my prior client until hi pass away (seven years), I have my profesional title as medical doctor from Mexico , but because of lack of language , and understanding I didn't pass my boards to practice medicine here. I am a good person, i believe in God, I have a good care of people, under my care, I cook good meals inheritance from my sister, I like to work with people taking care of them and their needs , talking to my patients, knowing them and their relatives , pass my board in Spanish to turn into medical doctor, deliver a baby, that is the most exciting experience for me.
