Since I was a teenager, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I volunteered at my hometown assisted living center at 15 years old 3 days a week after school. I looked forward to seeing the smiles on their faces and knowing that someone cares. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly population receives. As I learned through my previous health care experience, this population often benefits from caregivers who provide companionship and who pay attention to detail. This can help improve the daily lives of this population. I'd love to be a part of that effort through this position and help improve the kind of care this group receives. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I am a U. S. Army veteran where my job was a combat medic. I also am a wife and mother to two little boys- one of which has special needs. I have always loved to help those who can't help themselves which is why I started doing Instacart . Something about helping those who raised us is really important to me! I have been a caregiver for 3 family members. I currently live with my Dad in order to assist with his care. However, I would like a job outside my personal family as a caretaker for others. My experience is in cleaning (6 yrs exp.w/hospital background),cooking (15 yrs exp.w/ restaurant background), and maintaining multiple appointment schedules. Having worked as an assistant with a group home, I have guided others in daily life skills. My interaction with a variety of disabled patients, at the group home, prepared me to offer encouragement and support in any situation. I enjoy reading, music, and movies. My leisure time is spent with family , especially my children and grandchild.
