I have been working with Geriatric patients since 2008, after graduating high school. Going into healthcare knowing nothing about it, I began my career working in a Alzheimer's / Dementia unit. Since then I have also worked with post acute patients, those who require care after their hospital stay and are not able to return home right away. I took care of her myself while my father worked until she passed away in my arms at the age of 17. I knew then that life was a delicate thing.
