Hi! My name is Judith but you can call me Judy if you like. I have been a full-time caregiver since 2012, and I am so fortunate that I am paid to do what I love! The thought rose up in me when my mother began to show signs of Dementia. We developed a bond that was very close and comforting for both of us. Since then every client is family and every challenge is so worth it! I think I was born to be a caregiver. I think that trust is the most important aspect of my profession. I have learned to be rigorous about making sure things are always where you put them. I don't look in cupboards or drawers unless I have permission to do so. If a client has faith in me they will exercise and eat and walk more readily. I am certified CMA (I am able to pass medications legally) and up to date on my CPR and First Aid Certifications. I think I am most proud (and grateful) for my ability to make clients feel protected and valued.

I help with all the activities of daily life, from showering and helping eat to just normal everyday conversations to help residents feel comfortable with my company! I am attracted to being a caregiver because I love to make the elderly feel not alone and to give them help and to show compassion. I enjoy the company of my patients the most! A personal achievement I have that I am proud of is my children.

I began caregiving for my grandmother. Alzheimer's and the methods to combat it became a passion quickly. I like to find routine, however, the ability to alter routine and identify unsuccessful tactic is another strong point. I thrive upon being the hope when the medical world deems there is none. I prefer natural and homeopathic answers, although I do not expect my methods to be adopted by all. I try to look at each situation from all perspectives. What matters most it the happiness and enjoyment experienced by my patients. What ever makes a person smile, it's deserved.

I am very compassionate and truly love caring for others. My care giving career began in the early 90's caring for my Great Grandmother and eventually caring for my Grandmother with Alzhiemers in 2014. I find great joy in being able to care for those who can no longer care for themselves. Knowing that I have made a difference in someones life is one of the greatest blessings . Being a private caregiver has helped me to achieve my goals in life. I took care of family members and wanted them to have the best of their remaining life or recovery periods . I have been a caregiver for 13 years .
