I feel our elders are a treasure and should receive the help and support they deserve. After decades working in a corporate setting I decided to leave and pursue a more heart-centered career. I had been drawn for years to the idea of working with elders and those in hospice and once I started training I knew I had found my life purpose. Regardless of age, I enjoy being a caregiver! I love knowing that I make a difference in peoples lives through my work, volunteering and my 'being of service' way of being. I have many personal achievements that I'm proud of, but the one that touches my heart the most is that I allowed myself the gift of time and self-reflection to step into my life purpose, being of service in elder care, end of life care and other related areas that bring together all of my education, gifts and life experiences. Hello I have been a caregiver on and off since 2010 and have been doing it consistently the last 4-5 years. I absolutely love being able to help anyone. It's my passion and I absolutely love doing what I do. I have children and I love being there for them and helping them along the way and I feel that helps me do my job better and with love. We moved from California in 2021 and we love it here in NWA. I can't wait to learn more about NWA and the families I'll be able to help.

My experience is both personal and professional. I have a Masters in Healthcare Administration, I was a Quality Director for a rural clinic, a first responder at a local Volunteer Fire Department, and I cared for my Mother and Brother with neurological disorders for more than six years. For me creating a safe and engaging environment was crucial to improve their respective living environments. Additionally, knowing the healthcare system, and being an advocate for their healthcare needs was critical to minimize confusion and improve their overall care. As a versed mechanic and handyman, I made their living environments safe with hold bars and special care devices, minimizing fall hazards. Additionally, traveling out of the house is essential in maintaining a level of freedom from confinement, and we would go out regularly to do errands, go to DR. appointments and do external activities. Cooking was a favorite for both, as I would cook their favorites usually in large quantities, so they had packaged meals that they could pop in the microwave. As I approach my early 60s, I have been very fortunate and desire to continue helping and caring for others. Helping to organize and manage small elements can make the difference in just getting along or feeling like a valued member of society.

First off I am a huge hearted person! I don't need many strangers and my love for other individuals shines Bright through everything that I do. I'm very detail oriented and always willing to jump in and learn something new do what it takes to complete the task at hand as thoroughly and as efficiently as possible. And being a caregiver has been something that I have done most of my life my mother worked in the medical field and started in respiratory and moved into her MD license and so growing up in that type of environment it was just something that came naturally to me. Being a caregiver is just an extension of my family basically, is what that means is that I take those that I'm providing care for and love them and care for them just as much as I would is if they were a member of my family. What I love most about being a caregiver is simply that I am able to help somebody in need and not for me is the most rewarding feeling that I could receive from the position.

I am 48 years old and spent 20 years in the Corporate world working for E*Trade and Discover. I was unhappy. So I left CA to care for my mom. I decided to get my business license and promote myself. I genuinely love people!! Especially the Elderly. I have met and maintained such wonderful people with so many stories and of all different lifestyles! My second passion is cooking. I am a huge animal lover! I grew up surfing in CA and skiing in Alaska. I have worked with people with all different types of ailments or challenges, Dementia, Stroke recovery which requires a lot of physical work, Parkinson's and Hospice. I am 28 years old and have been working as a caregiver since I was 18. Being of service to others is what I live for and I enjoy being a companion for the elderly helping in any way I can to take the pressure and ease off whomever I may be caring for. I've worked at Washington Regional hospital on cardiology unit and the ICU floor. I've worked in several nursing homes and home health. I enjoy home health the most because they get to be in the comfort of their own home. I've worked in doctors offices as a medical assistant, a Certified nurse assistant and a PCT (patient care technician). I don't do this kind of work for the money I do it because my heart is in it to help the ones who need it.

I have been a caregiver most of my life. I started my career as a CNA and eventually became an LPN. I took an early retirement from nursing in 2015 to help raise my grandsons but have continued in the home care field.
