I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. Then I change work with residential care home , work includes direct care. Type of patent DD, elderly ambulatory and non ambulatory. I went school with Direct Support Professional year 1 and 2..Then work with agency with One on one client. I have handled all kind of cases simple and complex. I'm a great caregiver because I love my job and helping people. I was attracted to being a caretaker after taking care of my mother for ten years who had cancer. My favorite part of my job is being a companion. I have often felt like a family member to my clients. A personal achievement that I am always proud of is when my client improves because of my positive attitude and the exercises we do or day trips. I also make an excellent cup of tea.

I'm a very kind personality and down to earth, have soft voices and loving person, I'started taking care my parent for 10 yrs around 2000 until they both passed in2010 then i decided to reach out to other elderly and families who need help with their parents and loved one.

Why a caregiver it has always been in the family the nourishment and ability to help each other. I enjoy how my clients share their life history it means we have bonded in a personal way he or she is willing to give information that is usually meant for their family. Life is a rollercoaster we all have difficulties that is the ride going up, we have our scary moments those are the turns/twists on a ride and the fun is the flat area toward the end when everything seems to be going our way.

I am a 43 year old with 18 years of experience working in this field of Nursing . I live in the city of San Francisco but I also spent a lot of time in my other apartment in the East Bay ( El cerrito City ) due to work and having a family members as well . I am a Licensed vocational Nurse (LVN) and a certified nursing assistant ( CNA) as well . I work with people with different types of disabilities and injures . And I have worked in several hospitals in San Francisco and in the East Bay as well. I am bilingual , I speak English and Spanish and i own my car . Care giving is something i choose to do out of passion, and dream I had about helping older people, just like i love taking care of children too. because I always pray to live longer and old ,so I started by trying to help volunteering weekly because am in to filmmaking,singing and dancing which Is also one of my passion ,but The job comes once a while before i decided to make it a full time job due to my experience with older people, and people with special needs .So what made me a better caregiver is because I care for my clients like they are my own parents and family in a special way.My believe as a caregiver is you need first to love people as you love yourself,then put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains then you will know how it feels that they need more time and care ..
