Assisted with showering, grooming, dressing, exercise and other ADLs. I have knowledge with the use and assembling of respiratory equipment and 24-hour oxygen usage. Prepared and organized patients medications. Tested glucose and administered injections. Assisted with adequate nutrition and fluid intake. Planned, prepared and served meals and snacks according to prescribed diets. Bowel care and incontinence. Provide transportation, assistance and companionship to clients. Cleaned and organized patients living quarters. Performed household tasks such as light housecleaning, laundry, dusting, washing dishes, vacuuming, shopping and running errands.

I'm a great caregiver because I love my job and helping people. I was attracted to being a caretaker after taking care of my mother for ten years who had cancer. My favorite part of my job is being a companion. I have often felt like a family member to my clients. A personal achievement that I am always proud of is when my client improves because of my positive attitude and the exercises we do or day trips. I also make an excellent cup of tea.
