I love being a care giver I love being there for people and caring for them. I like to build sting bonds with them and get them to feel as comfortable as possible around me.

I am a 53 year old who has 4 adult sons, I love working with people too him improve their life in any aspect. I love helping others. I'm easy going and easy too talk with. I'm friendly and out going.

My natural caring ability is what drove me to be a caregiver. I enjoy seeing smiling faces the most about being a caregiver.

I started doing homecare assistance work about nine years ago. I became strong in the field by learning the needs and care to the elderly community and I absolutely love this field. I have my associates in Allied health and Nursing and now working on my bachelor's. I have experience with dealing with just about all types of patients but most of all I'm compassionate with this field. I do have training in CPR and First Aid.

MY compassion and empathy for people in need of that extra special care because of limited mobility and age make me want to help. My caregiving came from my mom who was a private caregiver who gave her all to her patients and I watched her and decided then I wanted to be a caregiver because of the love and care she had for these people. I love when at the end of my shift my resident say's see you tomorrow. When I became a certified nursing assistant and understood what an important difference I could make in people's lives. I have enjoyed being a caregiver for a few years now. It's something that just kinda fell in my lap. My stepdad had a stroke an was going to be put in the nursing home as he had no one to care for him to go home. So I offered to give it a try so he could be at home while he progresses. I went to the hospital an stay a few days before he was released an nurses an doctors spend alot of time with me explaining do an don't s. He had to help with everyday all day normal of liveing. Bathing, changing diapers because he wasn't able to walk. Cooking cleaning an therapy . Lots of therapy an also had to where a vest to shock his heart if it was to stop working. Over time was very emotional has I never believed I could make a difference like I did. But he was albe to walk again an on his own. An upgrade to useing the bathroom on his own . All but sometimes help with bathing. He's still doing good an still needs help. But progressed enough where he only needs me part time. I worked hard an always kept a smile on my face to encourage him to keep moving forward. During this time I also started doing part time help with my grandmother an concerns she had. An I e learned so much over the passed few years an enjoyed knowing I could help that I decided to continue offering my guidance. I learned things I never thought would happen an makes me smile knowing I can give a smile!

I am friendly and have never met a stranger. I love my God, my family and friends. I am honest, hardworking and love people.

I started out as a caregiver 5 yrs. ago and I enjoyed every moment of it. I love one on one care with clients and getting to know them for who they are. Hi, my name is Carrie Coker and I am 23 years old. I currently live in Cochran, Ga with my fiance and daughter. I have 2 stepchildren that I call mine as well. I have been doing caregiver work ever since my daughter was a year old she is now almost 5. I was 19 when I got my first caregiving job at Rescare in Eastman, Ga. What is now called AllWaysCaring Homecare. I worked for Rescare for almost a year and I worked with them when the name changed also few a brief few months. I then have had certain warehouse jobs. I also currently clean houses for people. I am now at a warehouse called Gilmer in Cochran, where I pack chips for FritoLay. I have always had a passion for caregiving. I always wanted to go to school to get my nursing degree, but life has gotten in the way right now for that. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. I love cleaning as I do at my own home. I love caring for clients. It makes me feel at home knowing I can help care for someone in need. I just recently a year ago now on this past thanksgiving day, lost my papa who was deathly sick and February will be a year I lost my grandma. She was like my second mother and I always helped her take care of things like her bills and ran her errands and would help remind her to take her meds and insulin. I have a handicap brother who is 19 and is wheel chair bound. I have helped take care of him since I was 12. I am so happy to know I have always helped my grandma and brother as much as I can. I know my grandma is proud of me.
