I have been a CNA for 20+ years and a Med. Aide for 15+ years. I have experience in long term care, home care and assisted living settings. I am a caring and compassionate individual. I treat those that I care for as I would, if I was caring for my parent's or grandparent's.

I very much enjoy spending time with and helping other people. I've always been one to put everyone else needs in front of my own and love to put a smile on the face of others. I come from a big family and raised my younger brothers and sisters and now have 5 children of my own, so I would like to think that I've been taking care of people my entire life.

I became caregiver because I like to help people. I did childcare from age 11 up till I graduated high school. Thought it be a nice change of pace to help adults. To know that the people I take care of have the best care possible and the gratitude they show when they get that kind of care. I do my job with compassion and want the person receiving care to always feel safe and happy.

I became a caregiver because it fills my need for helping someone out and builds my pride within myself knowing that I have done that on a daily basis. I like to have many different tasks throughout the day that keep me busy, because have a lot of energy and am well organized to be more efficient and get things completed in a timely and orderly fashion. My greatest personal achievement is my son. He has a diagnosis of down syndrome and I strive every day to make him successful and know that he can accomplish anything he wants to as long as he believes in himself. I have very high expectations of him and my college degree has assisted me in the knowledge to help him succeed and excel. I like to have fun and make people smile, because it is the small things in life that are the most memorable and the most important.

The traits and skills that I can provide for your loved one, is empathy, support, and compasion. All of which, I would want someone to treat my parent or grandparent or loved one, in the care of others. I have always been a caregiver, starting at the young age of 12 years with my own grandmother when I moved in with her to help her in her time of need. However, she had helped me too, with her kindness and wise words that I took by heart. I will always remember my time with her and miss her daily.
