I became a HHA when my mom was diagnosed with ALS in 1992. My dad and I took care of her at home until her passing in 1993. Since then I have become a CNA in 2000, and have taken care of many seniors and physically challenged individuals. I am a very dependable, conscienctious, and caring individual, who loves to help people become the best they can be.

Im hilarious! My main goal each day is to make my clients laugh or smile.. this is what keeps them young and helps them to remember that they're still human! My top priority is to treat my client like the adult that they are and not a child. I absolutely love working with the elderly and am committed to helping them remain in their home as they enter the final stages of their life. I get most joy out of spending each day with my clients and it gives me such satisfaction knowing I've been a help in one way or another. Im personally proud of my dedication to work, and how far I've come in life. Im a proud owner of a brand new home and have no kids. Im all yours!

I became a caregiver when both of my grandparents needed extra help with ADL's and my mother could no longer assist them due to physical ailments that she was experiencing. Later on, it was my mother and father who needed my caregiving for the same assistance. Being a caregiver is my passion. I know, when I leave for the day that my friend is well taken care of and happy because they realize that I will be back tomorrow to be there for them. Over the 30 years that I have been a caregiver, I did obtain my certified nurses assistant license as well as a 40 hour medication aide license and an assisted living administrators license; all remain current. I am a "young " 52 year old woman with two grown children, a son & daughter, both of whom I am very proud.

I love taking care of the elderly. I have been doing this for over 20yrs and have experience in all fields. my best achievement was taking care of a guy with dementia, and seeing the smile on his face every day that I showed up for work. I'm 41 yrs old that truly has a passion for nursing, I'm a team player and have a loving heart for what I do. I have worked with Hospice, dementia, peds, orthopedics, icu, mental and so much more. I have two most amazing daughters that I love spending time with . I had a grandpa that had alzhmiers. That's what really got me involved with this. I also volunteer on my spare time.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I see myself as compassionate and empathetic person. I derive genuine satisfaction from helping others one-on-one or in a group setting. Honestly what attracted me to being a caregiver is that I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. Also I have cheerful and encouraging attitude when it comes to assisting individuals who have trouble taking care of themselves and performing everyday activities. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that I am able make a difference in someones life, I am able to build cherished memories, I am able to learn from the elderly and that I am to value companionship and build my skills. I'm most proud of the way I helped to organize my church annual toy drive fundraiser this past Christmas, making it possible for us to bring in more toys than had ever been brought in the history of the toy drive event.
