Hello! My name is Desiree and I have been caregiving professionally since 2008 beginning with my cousin with developmental disabilities. My first job after high school was housekeeping in nursing home and hospital and I always found myself trying to interact with the clients, whether it just be conversations or pushing them back to their rooms after meals. I have mostly worked in CILA homes taking care of the developmentally disabled and I absolutely enjoyed every moment and every prrsonality I ever met! Never a full moment, I began as a DSP and was a house manager for the same company. I have also worked some side jobs taking care of the elderly, a couple until they passed, and another until she just didn't need the extra help Amy more. I have wanted be a caregiver for as long as I can remember, I had a grandpa that had lost both legs, one due to a stroke and the other because of Gangrene. My grandmother need a lot of help with him from changing diapers to helping with feeding once he got a feeding tube, and I was always their! I don't feel like myself unless I'm helping someone else live their best life!

I was also a pharmacy technician for over 10 years so you would never have to worry about medications being forgotten or mixed up. I've always enjoyed taking care of other people. It makes me happy to give back to the community and take care of my elders. I enjoy getting to know my patients and taking care of their needs. My proudest achievement is raising my four girls on my own.
