My Name is Pearlie, I have always had the caretaker trait since I was around 10 years old. I was the grandkid that wanted to stay in the house and help my grandmother take care of my granddad and the person that want a babysitting job in the summer to help out the family. What makes me a great caregiver is that I truly care about the well being of all people. I took care of my dad who had Parkinson's disease for four years before he died. My mom was lonely so now she lives with me. She takes care of herself but I take her out to lunch, shopping, and doctor appointments. I believe change is hard for the elderly and it's truly a blessing if they can stay in their own homes during their latter years. I want to be that blessing for them!
