Hello! My name is Da'Keia, but I go by Keia. I've been a caregiver for 9 years from children to the elderly. I love helping those in need who may require little to no assistance and helping those who need more assistance. I'm trustworthy, kind, dependable, and more than qualified for any task that needs to be completed!

I'm 24, I love being able to help others. I enjoy sports and fishing on my free time.

I like to think of myself as very caring and compassionate, I love helping other people. I have been working in long term caring (nursing home) for a little over 3 years and have always had my full heart in it. I love being able to make a impact on others lives by helping in ways that maybe they can't anymore. I have recently started nursing school to further my career in healthcare.

I have been in healthcare since I was 17 years old. I had to care for my grandmother at a very young age but I would never trade it for the world! The memories, the stories, it is amazing how much the elderly can have an affect on your life! I have had several jobs outside of healthcare and NOTHING makes me happy except being a CNA! It's my calling! It's what I know and love! I enjoy life so much more knowing I helped someone else in need and was there for them! Wrinkles tell amazing stories!

I received my CNA certificate after my maternal grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal breast cancer. Prior to her being placed on hospice I would watch what the nurses were doing and when small things would happen I would take over. Example her if would constantly alarm I watched and learned to reset it if the nurse was busy. After my grandmother was placed on hospice she said to me after me helping to care for her she whispered to me moments before passing "baby doll this is your calling, God has placed you here to care for others please peruse this field". And I did just that. I retained my CNA and worked in various nursing homes and always had an interest in death and dying units. I wanted to make them as comfortable and content as possible. I wanted to be there as much as I could for those who had family place them in nursing homes and never visit. I wanted to be there like family . which led me to the choice being offered to a patient that use to come into the ER routinely. Until family of that patient offered me to take care of him at home until his last days... I worked for a nursing home where we had a husband and wife in separate sections of the nursing home I worked with the husband more frequently than the wife but one morning I arrived at work and heard thru our morning meeting report that the wife had passed and they hadn't told the husband . I offered because I was very close to him . long story short family was not going to make arrangements for him to attend her funeral due to limitations he had ie him being in a wheelchair and then not having access to transportation to get him there. Short staffed at the home I offered on my day off to see to him getting to the funeral home church and grave site. It was hard I pushed him thru areas that were grassy muddy and not meant for travel in a wheel chair but I did it . I put myself in his shoes that did and did whatever it took.

Last year in the pandemic , I had to quit work as something that I love to do and that's helping people, especially the love ones who can't help them self, all because I have a heart disease, and can't work in the facilities. So I decided to become the CEO of this agency and try to help everyone who loves working as a CNA that really care to help and care for others.

Hello; I'm currently looking for work in the Hopkinsville area! I'm passionate about taking care of the elderly or individuals with mental and physical disabilities. I have recently had to take care of my own elderly father who passed in sept from CHF. The older population really touch my heart. I love learning about who they are as individuals so many times they get labeled as elderly and the caregivers I have seen just ignore the fact that they are humans too! I want to know who they are what they achieved and I love seeing their picture albums about there lives in spare time if there is any haha. I enjoy all of it! I'm proud of gain in g multiple certifications along with Cna and hopefully I'll get the RN behind my name one day.
