I've always loved helping elderly people. Part of what makes me a great caregiver is that people I care for tell me I understand them even when no one else seems to. I ask lots of questions to determine what they want and need. Therefore, they have the maximum autonomy, independence and happiness possible, which is definitely what I would want for myself. I also have the gift of extreme patience when working with elderly people with dementia. They never drive me crazy, most likely because of lots of exposure early in life to that sort of thing. I have extensive college training in medical information and know what to do. I've been trained by some of the best private caregivers in Louisville and have a network of other excellent caregivers.
