I've been a care professional since 1999 and have worked in all levels of healthcare from nursing homes, to in home care, to rehabilitation centers. I've also attending training for Medical Assistant and have my certification of completion. I've worked with people that suffered from all ailments from dementia, Alzheimer's, COPD, to memory disorders to name a few. The achievement that I'm most proud of would be returning back to school and completing my Associates in Science degree, and getting accepted into Temple for my Bachelor's in Science.

I love what I do let me start off by saying that and I believe when a person live their job it's for them to not be an problem when it comes to doing their job. I love taking care of people I think I get that from my nana (grandmother) she always had me with her as she was doing her work and I think I took it interesting bad an child I enjoy the look on clients face when you have given them good news about their loved one it could be something so small but it's really huge because of the fact that they have been trying to get them to do it and maybe they would not but now that they are that's an accomplishment my personality also has alot to do with the type of work I do for example me being sooooooooo caring and I know it may sound a lil not good but I do tend to worry if people are not ok or feeling well and I try to do whatever I can in order to change that. I am proud of me taking the time and getting on the path to what I wanted to do in the long run so early by going to job corps for C.N.A I could not have did anything greater because I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do because I love to take care of people.

Hello my name is Amy Harrison. I am an RBT and currently reside in Salisbury, NC. I am currently working towards my PhD in Education. I just finished my nurse aide class at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an A average. I received my Masters of Education degree in 2021 with a specialization in early childhood education. Since 2014 I have held numerous roles working with children and the elderly. These roles have ranged from after school counselor/site director, lead teacher, behavior technician, online ESL teacher, Direct Support Professional, Home Health Aide, Temporary Nurse Aide, Care Pro, Care Manager, Care Associate and Nurse Aide. I am looking forward to being a part of the team.

I first began being a caregiver right after I graduated high school. I was unable to start college & needed a job to provide. My first caregiving position was at an assisted living facility. I had an amazing woman who trained me & that I worked with very often. She was an older woman and would always make sure I knew the correct way of taking care of each and every resident. I have always wanted to help others, take care of them, and do whatever I can to make sure they are well!

I believe in Holistic Healing & Compassionate Care. I enjoy being a caregiver because it allows me to make a positive impact on someone's life, provide support, and show empathy. It provides a sense of fulfillment and purpose when I help those in need. I find great satisfaction in making a difference in others' lives. I'm compassionate, patient, empathic, adaptable, great communicator, dependable, respectful, great problem solver, attentive and a firm believer in self care. I am immensely proud of having had the privilege to provide hospice care for my mother during her battle with cancer. Also I take great pride in having been the caregiver for my uncle during his battle with stage 5 kidney failure. It was a deeply challenging and emotional journey, but being there to offer comfort, support, and love during their final moments brought a profound sense of fulfillment. It's an experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful to have been there for them in their time of need. My farther has high blood pressure & COPD, I am grateful to be a shining light during those critical moments, providing comfort, peace and a piece of mind to his daily life. I bring the same level of care to all my clients.
