I started taking care of my grandmother at the young age of 8, from then on I decided to be a caregiver because it is a rewarding experience to see the smile on any elderly face. I am very dependable, trustworthy, and put in 110% in care-giving. Personal achievement are getting my certification in home health aide and nursing assistant, my next achievement is going to school to receive my nursing degree.

I was a CNA for over 25 years, I have worked with DD/IDD population, Alzheimer,Dementia clients. I worked in hospitals on Cardiac, Oncology, ER and Geriatric units. Care giving has been my life's work.I raised 6 children and now get to enjoy grandchildren. I am a team player and client advocate. I enjoy being able to help individuals be able to stay in their home and building great relationships with them and their family. I had 5 bypasses in 2020 and I have worked for myself for the last 5 years so I no longer have a CNA license. If I'm chosen for this position I promise you won't be disappointed.

Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice in Drexel hands on trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different diagnosis conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. I am very sociable, empathetic, dependable and caring. Love reading & cooking, If I can make a difference in the life of a loved one, then I have fullfilled my job duties:))

Hi my name is Tammy and I have lived in this area for 46 years. I am a people person and currently care for people from kindergarten to 90 years old. I love people. I started caregiving between my 8th and 9th grade year of school when my mom got very sick. The caregiving I took on at that age was wound care, personal care, companionship, housekeeping, and cooking so I have been at this for a moment. I have been a 24/7 caregiver or family members and work 24-hour shifts with clients because it's not about me and my needs it's about my clients and their needs in order to get them to a better place in life. I would say now looking back I am proud that my mom is my first client.

Observation and detail.... Each client is different and requires a different approach. If they are able to communicate then and ask them their preferences. Let them be part of their care . Always treat everyone as though it was a loved one you are caring for . Be respectful !

What attracted me to be a caregiver is the need for more community outreach. To be able to help residents in my community who fall under our "underserved" population to educate and help them better understand the help that they are entitled to!!

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant with the State of North Carolina for 9 years. My certification is current. I am also BLS/CPR certified which is also current. I have worked in long term care settings as well as assisted living. I am very passionate about what I do. I love helping people and taking care of them when they can no longer care for themselves.
