I'm a compassionate person that loves people and animals. The joy I can bring to others gives me so much happiness. I've provided care both professionally and personally to a variety of need levels. As the oldest of 3 girls and a Mom that worked as an RN doing 12 hour shifts, I learned caregiving from an early age and realized it was my calling. I am very loyal and trust worthy. I became a Caregiver because as a teenager, my family took care of my grandfather who was bedridden and had dementia. I was in charge of his breakfast and morning medicine. I found much fulfillment and dedication to help those who can not help them selves. My personal achievements that I am so proud of, is that of the personal relationships I have made throughout my career! One client asked me, "Why are you so nice to me?" When I was little I would sometimes go to work with her and I would do puzzles, and read to the older folks. I just loved putting a smile on there faces. I become a caregiver from the natural nature of my personality. Since the young ago of 16 I started my experience with Nursing Home settings, along with this career choice at such a young age I cared for my grandmother that was diagnosed with Alzheimers and cancer. My son was born with disability that was around the clock care for a young mother. Being a nurturing person I crave to care for those whom are not able to do so for themselves. I cared for my ailing father who was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, my father passed 2 yrs ago and I have stuggled with the loss, yet I feel I have a heart big enough to care for others. I took an opportunity in caring for a elderly couple living in their home till her passing. One of the best experiences I had chosen to do. I went to Medical Assisting program where I excelled and was voted most successful. Knowing I have this to offer it's finding a family that we click and giving loved ones the security knowing their loved one is taken very well cared for. I have worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for over 20 years and enjoy helping people. I like knowing I can make someone feel better. I have raised 3 children on my own as a single mother helping to put all three through college. I am a mother of 3 adult children and a grandmother of 3 grandchildren. I took care of my mother for the last several years when is was unable to do for herself. She had lived with me for the last 20 years in my home. I also was employed part time for a babysitting service for 5 years.

I became a caregiver to help people that have trouble doing every day things. I like being a caregiver because I get to meet new people an help them with things they can't do on there own.
