Hi there! My name is Bryan, I have been in healthcare for twenty one years. I started as a cna in a skilled facility. I did that for five years and then started working with the developmentally disabled in semi-independent living situations as well as AHF's. After that, I became an activities assistant, in a skilled facility. That was one of the most amazing jobs ever. I got to create programs at night for residents with sundowners as well as the ones who were bored. Since then, I have done home care as well as working in facilities. I was born to take care of people and that is that. I've done home care from total quadriplegic care, down to basic companionship and housekeeping. I focus on my client and build relationships on what we have in common and their interests. Connection is important. I have also done a lot of end of life care. Helping the client stay comfortable and help the family understand the process that their loved one is going through. You name it and I have probably encountered it. Hello, my name is Michael, and I've been in the care giving field since 2010. Being a care giver wasn't something I ever saw myself doing, but after getting a job to support myself in college, I found that it was something I wasn't just naturally great at, but that I enjoyed doing as well. Meeting people of different ages and backgrounds over the years has been such an amazing experience for me. I just love being able to get to know individuals, and being a light for them in an otherwise difficult world. I'm not the most outgoing person around, but I do have a knack for building deep relationships with those whom I care for. I've had more than one job where I come into work and I have 2 or 3 people immediately shout, "Michael is heeere!" It's such an amazing feeling when that happens, and I know it helps brighten up both their day and mine. I'm also someone who holds professionalism in the highest regard. As much as I enjoy building relationships with others, I always maintain those professional boundaries. I do my absolute best for those I work with, but I also realize that confidentiality is an extremely big deal, and that keeping their personal life separate from mine is of the utmost importance. As for my interests, I'm someone who enjoys reading, watching movies, gaming, learning about history, traveling, sports, cooking, and going on walks.
