I am 59 years old. Iv been caregiving since 2019. I am fully convid vaccinated. Before this I did residential cleaning . As I began to get older I decided to try something different and more rewarding. My niece talked me into trying caregiving. Since I have started this career. Iv enjoyed it. I love taking care of people . It's not only a job it becomes personal. You get attached and become friends with the patient and their families. I am filling trained in many areas. Your basic bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning,. I'm also experienced in tube feeding, wound cleaning, transferring in every area( hoyer lifts, transfer boards etc. vital monitoring, medication dispensing. Hospice!!! All areas !! Caring for others has always been my nature and has brought me happiness and great meaning throughout my life. I spent alot of my teenage years taking care of my grandmother, staying with her on weekends instead of going out with my friends. In the early 90's I founded Noah's Ark Ministries. I became an activist for the homeless mentally ill and women and children. Along the way I discoved several seniors that were without any caring family and found volunteers to provide care and company for them. Two elderly gentlemen I provided care for moving one of them in my home as he had dementia.. In 98 I began attending Johnson Bible College. Due to my mothers passing I had to move in with my dad my senior year. I had planned on becoming a missionary but after a couple of years he began to develop dementia. I felt I could not abandon him and spent the next 12 years taking care of him until he went to be with the Lord. I believe the well being of others being a hogh priority, kindness and love are the most impotant qualities in someone to trust that person with your loved one.
