My name is Susan Kiarie. I have been a caregiver and a Medication Aide for the past 17 years, both in facilities and in-home private care, especially with different forms of dementia like Alzheimers, Parkinson and lewy body. After the diagnosis of our mother with Alzheimers, I realized how much care she needed and in return I knew this is what I wanted to do. What I enjoy the most about caregiving, is seeing the relief of families when I am there to help, in the comfort of their homes. What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.

I am completing my graduate degrees, in social work and theology. I am a veteran who has experience as medic as well as over 10 years of caregiving experience. Although I am meticulous about client safety and well-being, I try to make sure clients are comfortable and enjoying their time with me. My ultimate goal is to be part of a care team that helps keep individuals in the home for as long as possible.

I became a caregiver/CNA because I like being able to help people. I like being able to see the joy in people that I help. A personal achievement I am proud of is that I am a college nursing student with straight a grades. I am a very easy going people person.
