I have been in the medical field for 15 years now, I knew when I was a little girl I would in some way help people out. I use to take up for the disable kids while in school and I use to help the elders with taking their grocery bags in the house , help them walk if they had diffculty walking and etc . I enjoy putting a smile on the patient's face and I enjoy listing to their stories when they were growing up if they are able to talk with me ! I am very proud to have accomplish medical school and working in a field that care for people !

I have always been a people person and enjoyed helping others. It wasn't tell after my mother became ill and I was caring for her. I am a certified occupational therapist assistant and have worked in a nursing home or a hospital for 7 years. Recently went to one on one cargiving for a disabled non communicive teenager that required detailed ADL services and light housekeeping and appointment rides and prevention of self harm. I have worked with many diagnosis and have some experience with useing sign language. I try to match personal needs and activities for each client and work with them on succeeding in thier personal goals with home and personal experiences.

I can literally make a joke out of bread and that's what makes my patients care about me the most because I can be myself. What attracted me to being a caregiver was taking care of my grandmother as my first client. I made such a big deal in her life and I wanted to do the same for others. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I still get to do everyday life things but with my patient. A personal achievement I'm proud of is learning to be my own person and not overthink about what others think.

I am a very patient and attentive person. The most rewarding and precious thing we all have is our time and devotion. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer she went into remission. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. Recently she was diagnosed with Parkinson. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.
