I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. I believe that everyone has the right to quality care, and an advocate to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect. Raising four children has taught me that one must always use and implement active listening skills as well as expect the unexpected. My passion for health care comes from years of experience as a mother, wife and caregiver to family and friends.

My experience includes working with seniors who are facing various health challenges such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, Parkinson's, Diabetes, and those recovering from surgery and/or falls risks, or on hospice, etc. Services and skills I provide include, but are not limited to, companionship, grooming, bathing, dressing, feeding, incontinence issues/personal care, mobility issues, comfort care, light exercises recommended by the physical therapist, post hospital home care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, light cooking, helping with groceries, going to favorite restaurants, shopping, doing errands, escorted medical appointments, church, beauty parlor, park, library, visiting friends, out-of-town travel with seniors/family, various administrative tasks, etc. I am also available to assist seniors during weddings or other large events, etc. I am flexible and can travel anywhere my services are needed. I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. For the many years that I have been taking care of the military men and women, I have loved the joy and appreciation that they give back. It is without a doubt that I will take a great care of your loved one just like I would care for my own. For me, life is a gift that comes from God and therefore, it must be respected.

I started Caregiving over 25 years ago. I have always enjoyed assisting clients. I have worked in home health care, private duty, and caregiving facilities. My roles included caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A), Med Tech and Supervisor, and Nursing Assistant Educator. Due to my passion for caregiving, I became a Registered Nurse in 2012. As a registered Nurse, I traveled to patients' homes, wrote Care Plans, and trained and tested Nursing Assistants. I have spent the last few years homeschooling and raising my children. I miss caregiving and ready to start my career again. Even though I am Registered Nurse, I am interested in a caregiver role. I want to spend time with my clients. I enjoy helping clients where needed, while understanding independence is essential. I love the development of a relationship with my clients and families in whatever way they build. My personality includes empathy, patience, and kindness. I like to be on time and take my work seriously. When I am not caregiving, I enjoy paddle boarding, skating, hiking, camping, guitar, and life.

I became a caregiver because thats always been my job and i studied for elderly care. I like this job because i like taking care of others, and trying to make people feel good. A proud acheivement i have is getting my career that helps me make a difference

I think of myself as a kind-hearted and empathetic person. I always offer words of encouragement and comfort to my residents. I want a career that puts a smile on peoples face when I help them do even the littlest of things like helping with their daily routine or even having a conversation or giving them compliments . For me being a caregiver over the years has helped me improve in being able to address and resolve issues quickly and effectively to ensure my residents health and safety is not compromised.

I am a female Certified Nurse Assistant with over 14 years of experience in both Nursing Home and Home Care settings. I have obtained some of my experience in California and in Virginia. Throughout my career, I have worked with patients with dementia, diabetes, mild CVA, ambulation difficulties, incontinence problems, and hospice care. My primary duties include, but not limited to: activities of daily living, transferring, meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, and other specialized care.

I chose to be a cregiver because I am a compassionate individual, and i love to do this job and help others.
