Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. I am an RN choosing to work as a private duty caregiver. I am a recent graduate with my BS in Biology. I am planning on attending graduate school in roughly 5 years and am looking for a job that is personally rewarding such as helping individuals who can no longer care for themselves. I have experience as both a certified nursing assistant and a personal care assistant. In addition I have experience caring for my ailing grandparents in their last years of life. My course of study included anatomy and physiology, immunology and many other medically based courses which uniquely enable me to have a knowledge base in providing care that other may not have.

I became a caregiver by pure accident, I needed a job when I moved and applied at assisted living, and suddenly i saw a side of me i never knew i had. I am loving, caring, patient,and so much more. I loved the fact that i could make someones day better, by just being there, it made me go home with a smile. about a year and half after my first caregiver job i moved back to my home town and got another job in the nursing field, and they offered me to pay for me to become a certified LNA, so i took them up on there offer, so i proud of myself for committing to this career for 5 years, and it has been so rewarding. along with that I also have a 4 year old son, who is my world, he drives me to success everyday.
