I'm a caregiver who is honest dependable never late for work, I love what I do I take passion in caring for my clients. I have been a care giver for 37 years. I became interested in being a caregiver when a lady ask me for help she told me that she was not able to bathe herself. which I did help her and did not take any money from her she thanked me. So after that I assisted her with her care when I could and helped her to find more help. that is when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I like seeing their faces when they get the help that they need just seeing that smile on their face is priceless. My personal achievement that I'm so proud of. I worked with this lady who wanted to work part time I found her a job which she had to volunteer for a week to see if she was able to do the work. I assisted her showing her what she needed to do. after 3 days she was offered the job I was so proud of her. she worked part time at the job and later was offered a supervisory position.

1.) personality traits that i have that i think would fit me best for this job is that, i am very patient, outgoing, i love to meet new people and just get to know them. 2.) what attracted me to this job is because growing up i got to help my mom a lot with her clients and at my current job you meet a lot of elderly people which made my passion for them even better. 3.) Although i've never been a caregiver myself but to help my mom the one i love most is being able to be close with your client and being like family. 4.) my most personal achievement i am proud of is being able to make my coworkers, and bosses proud of me and to make me employee of the month.

Hello my name is Jamie. I currently work at wvu medicine. I love working with my patients to help them overcome the struggles of their daily lives. I wanted to be a caregiver since my sophomore year of high school. I did a year of medical assisting and a year of home health care. I am currently working in the icu, cardiology department with wvu medicine. I've been a home healthcare aide for the last four years straight up to my clients recent passing. N I've worked the field in the past off n on. I love the outdoors, talking to people and listening to their stories of when they was younger, it's really interesting! I love taking care of people and helping people! When I help care for someone it makes me feel great about myself! I've done something good for someone! I first learned about home healthcare through my mother who also was a home health aide and she introduced me into the field and I loved it so much I continued on with the work! What I enjoy most being a caregiver is to spend time with my clients and getting to know them and getting to help them to do things they love to do or to be able to help them cope with anything that's bothering them. I love to keep my clients happy. The achievement I'm proud of is that once I take on a client I see them all the way through til I'm no longer needed. My last client I worked with I was with for four years until her recent passing. I do get attached even though they say your not supposed to but how can't anyone get attached to someone they cared for that long!! I care for my clients as they was my own family!! And that makes me proud of the job I do!!
